Hispanic Manufacturing Center: Construction delivery system design and project management during design and construction of the transformation of the old Cadillac warehouse into a state-of-the-art four tenant Hispanic Manufacturing Center, called "Number one Brownsfield Redevelopment Site in America," located in Detroit’s empowerment zone Ore Creek Jewelers, Inc: Historic renovation and building expansion project in downtown Brighton, Michigan, including retail and commercial space Century Architectural Hardware, Inc: Design/build construction of new headquarters, including office, warehouse and fabrication space Saline Schools: New high school and existing building renovations, including preconstruction and design development and spearheading the CM selection process GM PowerTrain: Distillation of a Plant Site Assessment study from an unmanageable tome to a concise priority-driven, workable plan that included budgets, schedules and cross references to applicable building codes

Performing Contractor Assignments

Team leadership and coordination for successful bidding of the structural and miscellaneous steel at the new Ford Field, including the Stadium and Warehouse portions   Project management support and mentoring for trades contractors involved in major industrial capital expansion projects: Traverse City Cherry Capitol Airport Ford Motor Allen Park Test Laboratories Renaissance Center Podium Project Auto Alliance International Cougar program   Construction division reorganization of Contract Interiors metamorphosis into a major commercial contracting entity, including team-building and establishment of policies and procedures   Competitive bidding, negotiation and project management of several major industrial projects, including: Oversight and PM mentoring for Ford Motor Michigan Truck Plant 2nd Floor Reinforcement, including major demolition and structural work Plan and coordinate engineering and logistics for the very challenging removal of historic rooftop signs at the GM building in downtown Detroit Setup and coordinate the proposal and engineering for the award-winning Grosse Ile bridge repairs project Bid coordination and project management support of GM Pontiac West and 3 Cities Project closeout Dispute resolution and project closeout at Ford Motor Hypobaric Altitude Chamber, including mediation of final submittals and certifications Management and strategic planning of successful bid of Structural steel and miscellaneous iron packages for Ford Field and attached Hudson’s Warehouse package   In-house, multi-company and collegiate seminars, including: Project Management, following the Project Management Institute’s format and expanded to include ready-to-use construction tools and applications. Getting Paid for Extras Foremen’s seminars, designed for field personnel Balancing the Four Elements: Cost, Scope, Time and Quality Claims Resolution Using Microsoft Project as a Working Tool, highlighting application of this useful computer program for time- and resource-management Communicating, Negotiating and Conflict Management   Ongoing consultation, problem resolution and claim recovery for trade contractors that find themselves powerless against major General Contractors and Construction Managers

Project Owner Assignments

These often take the form of project-specific consultations with Owners for potential building project feasibility studies, including budget and schedule projections, as well as recommendations for delivery systems. All too often, however, the consultations are related to specific difficult projects already underway, and include at minimum specific programs for problem resolution and project maintenance.
